unknown 11 1/2 ligne pallet lever movement

Description

This 11 1/2 ligne pallet lever movement of pretty high quality probably dates from around 1900, far before the first movement finders were printed, and thus could not be identified.

Its high quality can be seen everywhere, so for example all important bearings contain rubies, and the banking pins for the lever could be adjusted.

We have the common gear train with mainspring barrel, center minute wheel, third wheel, seconds wheel (on the opposite position of the stem) and steel escape wheel.

As balance, a beautiful bimetal screw balance is used. It has a Breguet hairspring attached, whose effective length can be regulared with nice and fine regulator arm. Another beautiful detail is the steel bridge, which bears the pallet lever axle.

Of course, this movement beats with the usual 18000 A/h.

The crown wheel of this movement is beared and located on the inner side of the barrel bridge, as well, as the ratchet wheel. The ratchet, which is located on the side of the bridge, has got a spring on the inner side of the barrel bridge.

On the dial side, there’s nothing really special to see, maybe only the yoke keyless works, which can be switched by a pin just above the winding stem.
